Three Fold Deliverance

Three Fold Deliverance “For you, O Lord, have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling” Psalms 116 v 8 Over the years as each of us look back, we can see clearly how the Lord has delivered our bodies as well as souls from death. He has preserved us in the land of the living. We need to walk before the Lord in the light of His Word. His promises are like wild honey whose taste always lingers on our tongues and nourishes us from within. We need not fear what man can do to us. We need to continually praise and worship the Lord from our hearts and in our hearts and minds. The Lord said to me, “ You who were dead, I revived you. I added muscles, nerves, flesh and bones to you. I gave you a new body and a new body cover. As you grow older, your strength will be renewed, more power and greater encouragement. When I drowned to death, he hovered like a helicopter over me, extended his right hand and pulled me out of the miry clay. I have given you blessings when you were sleeping”, implying unexpectedly. He covers us with His holy feathers. Indeed, He covers us with a spiritual bullet proof armour. No fiery arrow of the enemy can strike us. His bow is drawn in vain. Every arrow that he fires at us gets extinguished and we get distinguished in the process and the name of the Lord is glorified. Apart from deliverance from physical and spiritual death, the Lord has kept our eyes from tears. He has protected us from many assaults and attacks of the enemy on our loved ones. Sorrow, crying and pain will be far removed from us as the Lord wipes our tears. The enemy attacks us in the spiritual dimension like an anaconda or like a roaring lion. He gives us new joy, a joy that lasts forever. He keeps our feet from stumbling. We stumble when our feet trip unknowingly or unwittingly. The Lord keeps our feet from falling. He guides us in our relationships and decisions by giving us grace and wisdom. Apart from such unintended errors, there are also deliberate traps laid by the enemy of our souls to catch our feet. The Lord disperses and makes powerless these secret traps that our eyes cannot see, our minds do not know. Prateep V Philip
