Effect of Effective Prayer

UV 1153/10,000 Effective Prayer

Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;

Isaiah 58 v 9

When we call to the Lord every day, every morning He hears us. When we cry out to Him, He rushes to our side and says, “Here I am” just like Samuel heard his name calling and he came to Eli thinking that he had called him and said, “ Here I am”.
The Great I AM is with us and that is sufficient to guarantee our sufficiency in all matters and situations. He will answer graciously and meet our need. In this uni-verse, he promises His awesome presence will be with us when we call to Him.

The only pre-conditions to the Lord hearing our prayer and our cry in our hour of need is that we take away the yoke of sin and satan from our shoulders, that we break the cords of wickedness, that we do not accuse others or speak vain words. The Lord has lifted all heavy burdens from our shoulders. He has freed us from all shackles and everything that could weigh us down and hamper us, preventing us from having a joyous fellowship with the Lord. The “yoke in our midst” refers to the thoughts, worries and anxieties caused by our situations, the pointing of the finger refers to our actions and “ speaking vanity” refers to our words. We need to offer our thoughts, words and actions as a pleasing sacrifice to the Lord. This is our just and legitimate worship since we call Him “ Lord” of our lives.

The Lord has TASKED us: Tasked is an acroustic that means “Taught us to manage our thoughts, tongue, talent, time and temperament, shaped our attitudes, skills and knowledge, given us the spirit of excellence and the experiences and the determination to do all that is right in the eyes of the Lord.” We need to pray that the Lord give us grace every day in all these ten important aspects of our personal life, so that our daily offering of our lives is pleasing, wholesome, blemishless and complete. We can pray and cry out to the Lord in our thoughts, words and actions. His presence is sufficient to give us peace in every situation. His power will anoint our words and actions.
