Using the Authority of the Author

UV 1126/10,000 The Authority of the Author

See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build and to plant.

Jeremiah 1 v10

We should not just read scripture but we should see that which is promised as if it is already real and happening. Belief is the equivalent of what knowledge is in the seen world. We see only that which our minds know. We should know that God has set us over nations and all kingdoms. We should see ourselves set up as spiritual leaders over the nations and over the kingdoms. The Lord has set us up with the purpose of rooting out or uprooting spiritual kingdoms and principalities of darkness. He has given us spiritual authority and weapons to pull down and to destroy strongholds. We are to uproot evil and to plant goodness, to overcome wickedness and to build the strongholds of the Lord.

Everything happens first in the spiritual world and then it gets reflected in our physical world. We exercise our authority to break curses, heal diseases and relationships. The word “authority” comes from author. A person becomes an author when he or she has the mastery of a particular subject or topic. Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith. He is also the author of life. The rules and principles of the seen and the unseen worlds, of heaven and the earth are all written in the Word. Jesus has delegated His authority to us who believe. We can consult Jesus in all matters of faith and life and He will give us discernment about what we have to root out of our own lives, what we have to pull down in our lives, what to destroy and throw away and what to build and plant. Our faith needs to be built and the Word of God that is the good seed has to be planted in our hearts.

We need to pray in the spirit and the Spirit will establish and build us up. He will also uproot that which has to be eradicated in our own lives as well as in society, be it evil, traditions, poverty, violence or terrorism. The Spirit will also plant us in good soil and nourish us so that we bear good fruit in season and out of season. We ourselves need to be rooted in the Lord, the Spirit and the Word just as the teeth are rooted in the gums. When we are so rooted, He will give us the power over all the power of the enemy. He has given us kingly power to root out, to pull down strongholds, to destroy and throw down. He has given us priestly power to build, to bless, to plant. We need to align our plans, our thoughts, temperament, tongues, talent and time with the revealed will of the Lord. When we live and act according to the plan of God for our lives, we become a plant for Him to manifest His love and splendour.
