Wise Men Still Seek Him

UV 2052/10000 Wise Men Still Seek Him
Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

Psalm 105 v 4

When man first sinned, he became aware of his blunder and hid himself from God, His creator. The Lord is not only our Creator but also our ‘Breather’ for He not only fashioned us out of mud but He breathed into our nostrils. It is His breath or spirit that runs in each of us, that flows in and out of us. Hence, when we hide ourselves from God we disbelieve Him. We are cutting ourselves off from the very source of life, of strength, of love, of everything true, noble and worthy. After God discovered man’s sin and that the latter had broken faith and trust in His word of wisdom given that he might live forever, God chose to hide Himself from man, revealing Himself only to those who seek Him with all their hearts, minds and spirits. He revealed Himself through the prophets of God, chosen vessels and finally through His visible image- Jesus. Seeking Jesus is believing.

Truly, wise men and women still seek the Lord Jesus. He is the source of life, the source of wisdom, the source of our strength, the way to our redemption and salvation. The more we seek Him, the more He reveals His glorious face to us. The more eagerly, enthusiastically and wholeheartedly we seek Him, the more He fills us with His spirit, strength and joy. He is the “Yes and Amen” to all God’s promises. He is the fulfilment of all the prophecies of men and women of God.

Jesus is the One who enables us to have a personal relationship with the Father. The Father revealed Himself completely to mankind through Jesus. The hidden face of the Father that no man has ever seen before including Moses and Elijah is revealed to us in the face and person of Jesus. The eternal and absolute dimensions of the love of God for all mankind are revealed in Jesus. In Him we have access to the throne of the Father. In Him we have access to eternal peace, justice and mercy. In Him, we have access to healing and deliverance from every evil. In Him every bondage is broken. In Him, every curse and shortcoming is defeated. In Him, the enemy’s plan to steal our peace, kill our souls, rob us of eternal life is thwarted. In Him we have entrance to heaven. In Him we are part of the kingdom of God. In Him we discover the kingdom of God within us and among us. In Him we have access to all the blessings of the world here and now and of heaven forever. In Him, the joy of the Lord becomes our strength. In Him, our days will be blessed, our nights will be peaceful. In Him, our lives will be fruitful. Seeking Jesus is not a phase in our lives, a passing passion but it is a lifelong pursuit, an eternal passion.
