The Abundance Mentality
UV 491/10,000 Ezekiel 36 v 29 The Abundance Mentality
Eze 36:29 I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you.
The Lord will deliver us from all our sin, that of our past, present and future. We will be cleansed of our hidden and unconscious shortcomings as well as our willful, wanton or brazen sin. This act of deliverance is followed up with a blessing of increase in our corn or seed or harvest. It is man’s shortcomings that first brought shortage or scarcity into this world. Once we are saved and cleansed, our scarcity or poverty mentality is replaced with an abundance mentality.
The Lord promises to lay no famine upon us. He will send the rain and the latter rain or blessings in due time. He will multiply our seed-implying all of our efforts. He will bring all our plans and projects to fruition, completion and success. The active words used , “ I will call for the corn..” implies that the Lord will command and bestow abundance in our lives. In the absence of faith, the contrary holds good, that the Lord will ‘lay a famine’ or cause scarcity in our lives. Addition and multiplication are God’s maths, while division and substraction are Satan’s maths. We should not get distracted by the latter’s ways from the path of holding on to the promise of increase. We must also not loose patience as God has His own time table for sowing, growing and harvesting in and out of our lives.
We must not think thoughts of scarcity or become anxious about how would we meet our needs. Instead, we must confess in faith that the Lord will meet all our need according to the unlimited riches of His abounding goodness. If He gives us a vision, He will make the provision. Expressions from our mouths should reflect a heart of appreciation, praise, worship, gratitude, of faith and of an abundance mentality.
