UV 885/10,000 No Weapon Can Prosper Num 23:23 Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought! My cousin’s son who is an architect says that most of the clients today in India want their house designed according to “vaasthu” –the ancient Indian tradition and belief system that for a family or business to prosper, a house or a building should be facing a certain direction, that certain rooms or parts of the building should be in a particular corner and so on. But this uni-verse states that surely or certainly or without an iota of doubt “there is no enchantment against Jacob” or that no spell or witchcraft or black magic or charms or omens or any other enchantment can work against those who are in a relationship with the Lord. Balaam the prophet declared that there can be no “ divination” or prophecy against Israel. There is no auspicious or inauspicious time for a believer for “this is the day the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Neither will the sun harm us by day nor the moon by night. Whom the Lord God blesses is blessed and whom the Lord God curses is cursed. We only need to fear the displeasure of God and He is not whimsical. He acts in accordance with His written Word. Since Jacob or Israel was blessed by God, no force of darkness could act against Israel. What happens to Israel is only that which the Lord God permits or causes to happen. We who are believers belong to the Commonwealth of Israel. Be sure not to give credence to beliefs and practices that displease the Holy God of Israel. In a time of prayer some months ago, the Lord indicated that it is time we pray for the salvation of Israel, that the eyes of the Jews be opened as the Jewish zealot Saul’s eyes were opened to perceive Jesus the Messiah. In Jesus, all the Hebrew names of Jehovah is subsumed: Jireh, Nissi, El Shaddai, Shalom, Rapha, Shammah. The first syllable “Je” is similar to the word for “I” in French. He is the Great I Am who saves all people. No weapon of the enemy of our souls can prosper against us. When we pray and bless Israel, our own lives will be blessed and we will prosper.
