For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Romans 8 v 6

A carnal mind does not subject itself to the Word of God while the mark of a spiritual mind is the voluntary submission to the Word. A carnal minds sows in the flesh and reaps in the flesh, sows in the flesh and reaps in death which is the wages of sin A spiritual mind sows in the spirit and reaps in the spirit. A carnal mind seeks to feed its own evil desires and leads to moral and spiritual decay.

A spiritual mind is not conditioned by the world. A spiritual mind does not give room to the lusts of the flesh. A person with a spiritual mind subjects himself voluntarily to the Word of God. A spiritual mind is groomed by the Holy Spirit. A spiritual mind is sanctified by the Holy Spirit. A spiritual mind reaps in eternal life and peace.

A spiritual mind is the good soil in which the seed of God’s Word will bear much fruit. When our minds are spiritual, our thoughts, desires, decisions, habits and emotions will be acceptable and pleasing to God. A spiritually minded person will be full of hope, joy of salvation and peace.
