Access by faith to both grace and glory

UV 375/10,000 Our Access by faith to both grace and glory Romans 5 v 2 Rom 5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. When you believe God's Word over the word of the world, that is the point faith overcomes doubt, courage overcomes fear, hope overcomes despair, justice overcomes injustice, life overcomes death, prosperity thinking overcomes poverty thinking, healing overcomes sickness, strength overcomes weakness, success overcomes failure, love overcomes selfishness..- This is the point at which new life begins to sprout and flourish in us. This is the point on the fulcrum of life on which the lever of eternity rests. With it we can lift great loads and move mighty mountains. Faith in Jesus is one basket we can put all our eggs ( past, present, future, health, finances, family, friends, hopes, fears, doubts, eternity, profession, reputation, relationships.. ) in. Each of these aspects of life are as fragile and perishable as an egg shell but under the Lord’s protective wings, it is not only preserved but grows from within as new life hatches from within an egg. Just as we can’t make an omelette without breaking the egg, we can’t get a chick without it hatching. Our faith in Jesus is initially like a tiny seed. But , it needs to grow and mature for the glory of God. Grace in the process of growing and glory of God at the end are the two hallmarks of faith. The access point or the door through which we receive both grace and glory is faith in Jesus. Our hope in the glory of God is what enables us to rejoice regardless of the circumstances, whether in sickness or health, poverty or prosperity, pain or pleasure, failure or success. Rahab the prostitute was saved on account of her faith in the words of the Israelite spies she harboured for a night. She acted on their words and tied a scarlet rope outside her house. That scarlet rope is a symbol of her faith in their words. She was accepted into the Israelite nation later, married a Jew: this much is grace. She went on to be one of the forebears of Jesus the Messiah Himself : this is glory. Today, our faith in Jesus is the scarlet thread that connects all aspects of our lives and links together grace with glory. Prateep V Philip
