The lesson we can pick up from Adam and Eve’s fall from favour is that when we believe God and His Word we receive His favour. When we disbelieve we are deceived, defenceless and labour in vain. When we totally and completely and fully believe, He makes His face to shine upon us like the morning Sun, benign, lovely, loving and gracious. It implies He smiles at us and on us. Smile is a sign of favour of the Heavenly Father. When He smiles on us, we have peace, we are secure, we prosper in health, wealth and in strength.



When Jesus , the Son of man and the Son of God takes away our sin by our act of believing in Him, God smiles on us. His favour surrounds us like a shield, like the mountains of Jerusalem in all directions and dimensions. When we yield to the Holy Spirit so that His control becomes our self control and from that spiritual control or command center, we show the five dimensions of devotion, dedication, determination, discipline and diligence, the Lord God smiles on us.



The five dimensions of devotion, dedication, determination, discipline and diligence evidenced in the earthly life of Jesus wins us the favour of God. Our labour or efforts will no longer be in vain or for earthly gain but for eternity, infinity and immortality. Where we fall short of His perfection, He adds what we lack by His grace. This is the inner , deeper, spiritual meaning of Psalm 23 ‘s “ The Lord is my Shepherd( protector, provider, leader, defender, guide , rewarder, judge, anchor, armour) I shall not want.”
