Five Manifestations

UV 1635/10000 Five Manifestations
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9 v 6
The governments of the nations of this world are marked often by folly, lack of vision, weakness, fear, friction and errors. But the governance of the Lord through Jesus in our lives is marked by wonder, wisdom, might, everlasting relationship and the rule of peace. Other governments and nations invariably have their rise and fall. But the government of Jesus is ever on the increase in the scale of its influence and impact. The Holy Spirit overshadows us as He did Mary and brings forth new and wonderful things from the womb of time and space. When we set our love upon the name of Jesus, we inherit the five blessings or the right to experience the manifestations of the Lord: wonders, counsel, might, relationship as Father-child and peace. The word manifestation means that what is hidden or unknown, secret, invisible or abstract is revealed in an event or object. God ‘s hidden power, secret wisdom, invisible glory, incomprehensible peace are revealed in practical and personal ways.

As we increase in our knowledge of the Word which is Jesus, we too like Jesus should grow inch by inch, day by day in grace and truth. Sin is like a leech that sticks to us and sucks out our lifeblood, our hope, our power, our positive thoughts and feelings. I came across a colleague who spent years hunting a forest brigand and in the course of it was bitten several times by leeches. It left marks on his legs and even infected his blood with its poisons, so much so, he needs to take injections as antidote to this even years later. The leech releases its hold only when salt is applied around it. The Word is the salt that causes the leeches of sin to release its tiny clutches and suck pads from our different parts of our bodies and lives. Thereafter, we shall experience wonders that eye has not seen nor minds conceived. We shall receive wise counsel as we hear a soft voice behind our ears asking us to walk this way or that way. In other words, the governance of Jesus in our lives will enable us to take wise decisions as leaders.

The might of the Lord is revealed in our various life situations and experiences. The Lord will provide for us as a loving Father. He will protect and preserve our lives. He will lift us up on the earth and will cause us to flourish. He forgives us continually when we err and repent. The greatest blessing of our relationship with the Father through Jesus is the peace that we receive from Him. It is the peace that we can experience but cannot understand. It is a peace that nothing or no one can take away.
