The Power of Commitment

UV 663/10,000 The Power of Commitment “All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father and no one knows the Father except the son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him.” Matthew 11 v 27 All power and authority as well as all things have been committed to Jesus by our Father in heaven. Jesus did not monopolise this authority in Himself but He distributed and delegated that power and authority to those who are committed to Him. When we are committed to Him, Jesus reveals all of the glory of the Father to us. He chooses to quicken or bring alive spiritually all those He chooses to. To commit means to completely trust another person and to surrender our lives into his or her hands. When we surrender our lives to Christ, He releases His anointing, strength, power, authority and blessing on every aspect of our lives. We have authority and power that we share with Christ in the natural as well as the supernatural world. Secondly, such commitment brings the spirit of excellence or the desire to do things beyond the ordinary or commonplace in our lives. We are empowered with the personal knowledge of the God of excellence. With one hand we hold the shield of faith to preserve our lives and with the other we hold the sword of excellence. With one we defend our position and with the other we advance towards the finishing line. Without commitment, people merely float around all their lives like flotsam and jetsam. This uni-verse reveals the secrets of the power of commitment. We may ask the question that why some receive the saving knowledge of Christ and God but others do not. It is the prerogative or sovereign right of Jesus as to whom He shall reveal Himself and the Father. When we receive Christ into our hearts, the Triune God resides in our triune being-spirit, mind and body. In one way or other,we should begin to see the power of the extraordinary in our lives. Grace is the power of the extraordinary. The words, “ no one knows the Father except the Son” shows there is no alternative to faith in Christ. It is the only doorway to eternal life. The conviction that Jesus is the answer to all life’s questions can come only by revelation. On account of this revelation, we are given all power and authority of the kingdom of God on earth. The earth is God’s footstool and we are His footsoldiers. Prateep V Philip
