Magnification of the Magnificent

UV 488/10,000 Joshua 3 v 7 Magnification of the Magnificent Jos 3:7 And the LORD said unto Joshua, This day will I begin to magnify thee in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee. The Lord is the Magnificent One. He magnifies those He chooses. He chose Moses and magnified him in the eyes of his own people Israel, in the eyes of the then superpower Egypt and its Pharaoh, in the eyes of the church and the world at large. He later chose Joshua and magnified him in the eyes of Israel. When we focus on the Lord, we are magnified much as when the sun’s rays are focused through a magnifying lens, it sets fire on the spot of the paper or cloth that is focused on. We should focus on being with the Lord. Our vision, our power, our impact, our leadership, our legacy, our grace and faith will all be enlarged or magnified. Two days back in a time of prophetic prayer at The Tabernacle, our home, the Lord revealed, “ When you pray that I will be with you as I was with Moses, as I was with Joshua…, then I will be with you.” The manifestations of the Lord’s Being with us are different in accordance with our faith. The Lord was with Moses in such a way that the latter’s face shone as He came out of His presence. Yet, the people murmured against his leadership. But, the Lord was with Joshua in such a way that no one murmured against him We need to focus on different characters in the Bible and observe the magnification of the Lord in their lives and then claim that unction or anointing. We need to pray depending on our need for that day, “ Lord, be with me today as you were with Joseph” if it is success or interpretation or favour of those above that we are seeking that day or time. We need to pray “ Lord , be with me as you were with Nehemiah if we are undertaking a difficult ministry opportunity of building or re-building.” We need to pray, “ Lord, be with me as you were with Jonah” if we feel constricted and trapped in a situation beyond our control like in the belly of a whale. The anointing or empowerment of His Being will be with us in a specific way for redemption in that situation. The words, “ that they may know that” implies that such a manifestation of His Being with us is not meant only for our good but as a wider testimony or evidence of His goodness to the rest of the nation and indeed , all of mankind.
